June 23 - July 4, 2014
Swiss universities, including the University of Geneva, are part of the world class in mathematics. The excellence of main Russian institutions and researchers in this field is also well-known.
In its role as Leading House for Swiss-Russian Science & Technology Collaboration, UNIGE promotes collaboration between Swiss and Russian institutions. Thus, mathematics is a natural choice for the first Swiss-Russian Summer School supported by the Leading House.
The precise topics of this summer school are still being defined. A preliminary selection includes an Introduction to Stochastic Loewner Evolution, Tropical Geometry and Applications, Dynamical Systems, Amenability in Group Theory, Inequalities, Eigenvalues and Planar networks, Hilbert Schemes and Heisenberg Groups.
Course program will be posted in early 2014.
