Geneva International Students Program (GISP)

1 semester study abroad program at the UNIGE

The GISP is an interdisciplinary Study Abroad semester at the University of Geneva. The program is designed for students seeking an enriching academic experience in one of the main centers of international governance. The GISP’s unique design combines intensive French language courses with a series of interdisciplinary course modules taught in English. We have brought together experts in a variety of different fields including international law, human rights, political science, economics, natural sciences, history, cultural studies and translation studies. GISP students benefit from a field-oriented curriculum that make the most of Geneva’s role in international affairs, with visits to major international organizations like the UN, the WTO and the ILO and cutting-edge laboratories like the CERN.

GISP students benefit from an international experience in a foreign university with small class size (35-40 students are admitted into the program each session), direct interaction with esteemed professors, and administrative and practical support from the Program Coordinator. Completion of the GISP will be rewarded with 30 ECTS credits.

The next GISP semester is Spring 2013. Program dates: February 18 - May 24, 2013.
